A graduation concert by two outstanding talents of the Czech jazz scene, Kateřina Hošková and Filip Baader
Kateřina studied at the Academy of Performing Arts in Prague (HAMU) under the guidance of David Dorůžka, while Filip studied with Vojtěch Procházka. During their studies, both had the opportunity to broaden their horizons at prestigious European institutions – Kateřina at the Conservatoire National Supérieur de Musique et de Danse de Paris, and Filip at the Codarts University of the Arts in Rotterdam. The evening will feature primarily original compositions. In the first part of the concert, they will perform as a quartet, followed by a sextet formed especially for this occasion. Their music moves at the intersection of contemporary jazz, while remaining firmly rooted in the jazz tradition of the 20th century.
