a sparkling collection of songs celebrating all aspects of Spring, from the smallest creature to the most beautiful rose. Sure to conjure memories of the brightest morning through to the most surprising rainstorm. Recorded in Prague and dedicated to this beautiful city, this album is the first in Hetty’s new series ‘Jazz in Four Seasons’, and is brought to life by the talent of Czech musicians.
No stranger to the Jazz Dock and always thrilled to return, vocalist Hetty Kate brings a pure tone, natural artistry, and love of performance to the jazz tradition. Compared to a ‘good champagne, simultaneously effervescent and restrained’ by the Sydney Morning Herald, you’ll find her distinctive approach balances a great respect for the lyric with spontaneity, humour and joy. Nurtured in Melbourne’s vibrant jazz scene, Hetty has toured in 28 countries with performances at major jazz festivals and a significant tenure as Australian jazz luminary James Morrison’s vocalist. She was the featured vocalist with Morrison’s award-winning symphonic concert ‘The A to Z of Jazz’ performed with the CNSO and conducted by Kryštof Marek for the Prague Proms in 2016. Now based in Paris, Hetty continues to tour internationally across Europe, Asia, Australia, and New Zealand - sharing her passion for beautiful songs with audiences around the world. We hope you’ll share this special evening with us and celebrate the launch of the new album!
