Jazz Dock hosts a guitar revolution: Charlie Hunter
Charlie Hunter comes to Jazz Dock as a guitarist, producer, and composer renowned for pioneering the eight-string guitar technique that lets him play bass, melody, and chords simultaneously. Now performing on custom Hybrid Guitars Co. instruments he co-designed, Hunter blends jazz, funk, blues, and rock into a sound all his own. Over a 35-year career, he's collaborated with jazz legends and contemporary innovators alike, including his acclaimed project SuperBlue with vocalist Kurt Elling. Recent work spans Butcher Brown, Kiefer, Nate Smith, and a standout Tiny Desk appearance. At Jazz Dock, he'll be joined by Nate Clark on saxophone and Marcus Finnie on drums for a night of genre-defying groove.
