Leading Czech guitarist Adam Tvrdý will celebrate his birthday with a special concert at the Jazz Dock club
On stage, he will be joined by his musical friends — respected soloists and long-time collaborators —, and together they will present a cross-section of Adam’s work, reinterpretations of standards, and new arrangements. Come share this milestone with one of the most distinctive voices of the Czech guitar scene.
Adam Tvrdý is a guitarist and composer with a multi-genre, intense expression. In his interpretations and improvisations, he focuses on his original musical ideas while respecting the traditions and vocabulary of the style being played. Adam has been playing guitar since the age of six, later learning to play bass and drums. Since childhood, he’s been influenced by blues and rock, especially Jimi Hendrix, Jimmy Page, and Eric Clapton. Later, he discovered the music of Miles Davis and started to focus on jazz, his main influences being Pat Metheny, George Benson, Wes Montgomery, and John Scofield. Adam’s original music could be labeled as contemporary or modern jazz with elements of his most influential genres: blues, rock, modern and classical jazz, Latin, and classical music.
