The band will not only perform the traditional tunes, original compositions but also will improvise,

drawing on influenes from jazz, bluegrass classical and other genres.

Yale Strom is a violinist and ethnographer who began conducting field research among the remaining Jewish and Romani communities in Eastern Europe in the 1980s. He traveled extensively throughout the region, particularly uncovering unrecorded folk melodies in the Carpathian Mountains and in the area formerly known as Bessarabia. Strom used his findings as inspiration to write books and plays, direct documentary films, curate photo exhibitions, and form his klezmer/Romani band Hot Pstromi.

The band's latest recording, The Wolf and The Lamb (released by Naxos/Arc and recorded live in the Shakh Synagogue in Holešov), features Strom, Schwartz, Dvorský, and Yasinsky, along with American musicians Peter Stan and Norbert Stachel.
