Voices of Poland: A century of music with Sinfonietta Cracovia

One of Poland's leading chamber orchestras returns to Prague with a program spanning nearly a century of Polish music. From Tansman's elegant Triptyque to Karłowicz's lyrical Serenade, the evening offers a rich panorama of the country's musical heritage, alongside Wieniawski's virtuosic Variations on an Original Theme performed by Czech violinist Jan Mráček. Conducted by František Macek, whose close artistic ties with Poland have made him a familiar presence on its concert stages, the concert brings together outstanding Czech and Polish musicians in a shared Central European musical tradition.

Sts. Simon and Jude Church

Beautiful Sts. Simon and Jude Church in Prague Old Town serves as a concert hall

Amicable and uplifting atmosphere of the Sts. Simon and Jude Church is the ideal place to enjoy masterpieces of classical and sacred music. The Church of Sts. Simon and Jude is unique by its initiation - it is the only Prague church dedicated to the apostolic pair, Simon and Jude Taddeas.

The church was founded in 1354 as a hospital chapel and later rebuilt as a hall church with niches and chapels. The late Renaissance church served as a temple of Czech Brethren. In 1620, during recatholisation of the whole country, the Emperor donated the church to the Order of Merciful Brothers.
