Once Again: Charles Aznavour

A theatrical ballet that tells the story of Aznavour’s journey from childhood to his rise to international stardom

Choreographer Narine Petrossian’s production transforms Aznavour’s music into dance sequences that capture his performances and emotional depth.

Experience his iconic songs through choreography as the dancers bring to life the moments that defined his career, with famous songs such as “Two Guitars,” “La Mama,” “To My Daughter,” “Désormais,” “Can Can,” “Jezebel,” “She,” and many more.

The show takes place in two acts and reflects Aznavour’s past, his artistic work, romances and reflections in the song “Yesterday When I Was Young”. Each movement is created to honor a man whose voice and songs have touched millions of people across generations.

Hybernia Theatre

Hybernia Theatre and its location have a rich history. In the 14th century, the emperor Charles IV built the St. Ambrosius monastery here which gradually fell under different orders, the Benedictines, Minorites, and finally in the 17th century the Irish Franciscans.

In late-18th century the monastery was shut down on the order of Emperor Joseph II and the church was deconsecrated. Still, the place was called „U Hybernů“ (Hybernia means Ireland in latin). The former church served as a customs house, exhibition hall. In 2006 its interior was transformed into a modern theatre hosting mainly musicals, but also ballet, opera performances and jazz concerts.
