In the wonderfully romantic setting of Vrtba Garden you can enjoy a beautiful view of the Prague center
The Vrtba Garden (Vrtbovská zahrada) was placed in the international Garden Awards competition as the 2nd most beautiful garden in Europe for the years 2019/2020.
Together with three other Baroque gardens, Vratislavská, Schönbornská and Lobkowická, the Vrtba Garden is located in Malá Strana, on the Petřín slope. The origin of the magnificent palace garden is associated with a large building period around 1720. Jan Josef, Count of Vrtba, commissioned three top artists of his time to work on the garden (and palace). The architect is František Maxmilián Kaňka, the sculptural decoration of the garden was created by Matyáš Bernard Braun, and the painter Václav Vavřinec Reiner created a beautiful fresco decoration of the salla terrena.
