Prague Mirror Maze: a playful labyrinth made of mirrors will make you laugh

Mirror Maze at Petřín Park is a great entertainment for both children and adults. From the outside the building looks like a small castle, but inside you'll find a labyrinth made of mirrors.

The miniature castle sits next to Prague's miniature Eiffel Tower, the Petřín Lookout Tower; so you can see the two sights at once.

Highlights:

  • Find your way through the maze to the diorama of the battle of the Praguers against the Swedes at the Charles Bridge in 1648
  • Carry on through the "hall of laughter" where warped and twisted mirrors will change your appearance in crazy ways. Plenty of laugh guaranteed!
  • Become a child again when looking at the funny images of you the mirros give you.

The Petřín Mirror Maze is one of the most popular sights of Prague for adults and children

The maze was built in 1891 according to a model of the Vyšehrad Gothic gate Peak (Špička). The building was designed as an exhibition pavilion for the General Land Centennial Exhibition. The mirror maze at Prater in Vienna most likely served as an inspiration.

Interesting facts:

  • On the roof of the maze, there are vanes with first names of the workers who worked at the construction in 1891; they wrote them there themselves.
  • There are 35 regular and 14 distorting mirrors.

How to get there:

  • Accessibility by public transport:
by the Petřín funicular from the Újezd tram stop
    tram - Pohořelec stop
  • Nearest car parking:
