Mladá Boleslav: home to one of the most known European car makers - Škoda. Explore the factory.

Mladá Boleslav is a city in the Central Bohemian Region founded in the 10th century by King Boleslav II as a Royal Castle. In the 17th and 18th centuries, Mladá Boleslav was known as a Jewish centre - a high community of Jews lived there (in the 18th century the number declined).

In the 19th century, the Laurin & Klement (today Škoda) automobile factory was founded and a whole new era has begun.  If you are a car lover and are in Czech Republic, we encourage you to visit the Škoda Museum, where you will learn about historical cars.

You can also watch a short film about the history of the company. There are three permanent exhibitions (Slávia, 100 years of Škoda and the Engine Gallery) covering the history of the motor works from its beginnings to the present day.
