The Church of the Holy Spirit is located in the heart of Prague Old Town, on the border of Josefov (former Jewish Quarter)

The Church of the Holy Spirit, built in the mid-14th century, originally belonged to the Benedictine monastery, which is now extinct. The Church is located on the very border of Old Town and the former Jewish Quarter, and during Ferdinand I's reign in the mid-16th century, Jews had to attend Catholic masses served here.

The single-aisle church was rebuilt in Baroque style in the 17th century and its interior feature some precious pieces of art such as Gothic Pietà by the workshop of Petr Parléř (one of the builders of St. Vitus Cathedral), a painting of St. Joseph by famous baroque painter J. J. Heintsch, valuable statues of St. Anne and busts of St. Wenceslas and St. Adalbert from the 16th century and more. In front of the Church is a statue of St John of Nepomuk by Ferdinand Maxmilian Brokoff.
