The church of the Assumption of the Virgin Mary and St. Charles the Great in Karlov, New Town is originally a Gothic church built by Charles IV., later on rebuilt in the Baroque style. It is part of the grounds of the former monastery of Augustinian canons in Prague na Karlov.
The temple and monastery are located in the southeastern end of the New Town of Prague, in the place where the city walls broke in the direction from north to west.
