The Gothic Church of Our Lady of the Snows near Wenceslas Square is the highest in Prague

The magnificent Gothic church will impress you with its exceptional atmosphere ideal for classical and sacred music concerts. The Church of Our Lady of the Snows was founded in 1347 by Emperor Charles IV  together with the monastery for the Carmelite order (today replaced by the Franciscan order). Today´s temple is only the presbytery of the originally planned 100-meter-long sanctuary, and with its height of almost 32 meters, it belongs among the highest churches in Prague.

The moderate Gothic interior features a monumental Baroque altar by an unknown master. Concerts of mostly sacred and classical music are held here, in the magical atmosphere of ambient light penetrating through narrow windows of the choir and painting mysterious images on the vault. Candlelights and superb acoustics make concerts here an unforgettable experience.
