U Fleku is the most famous brewery in Prague!
The history of U Fleku Brewery dates back to the 15th century and since then it has become a pilgrim’s place for beer fans and surely the most famous pub in Prague.
You can taste the famous 13° U Fleku dark lager, which is being brewed here, and only here, continuously for more than 500 years, and enjoy traditional Czech cuisine from Restaurant U Fleku.
The first written reference concerning the U Fleku Brewery dates back to 1499 when the building was purchased by Vit Skremenec, a malt house owner. The U Fleku brewery is the only brewery in Central Europe which has been brewing beer for 500 straight years. When communists came to power the business was nationalized and after the fall of the communist regime, the restaurant and the brewery were returned to the original owners, the Brtnik family, in 1991.
