This original work for four performers celebrates ordinary moments that are made extraordinary through human creativity and mutual understanding
The poetic production In the Park, full of both gags and tenderness, confirms the old truth that showing love costs you not a thing.
A city park sees countless stories unfolding every day. A young couple has their first kiss under a blossoming tree; a lady gently commands her pet dog, and a schoolboy has lost his new soccer ball in the bushes. And, on the ordinariest of all ordinary benches, Josef and Zuzana meet by chance. Two elderly people who have nothing in common, or so it seems. Who knows what can change during three afternoon encounters in a park?
A pantomime communication, filled with jokes, little coincidences, and small tricks, helps to overcome the loneliness of old age. A dialogue without words reveals the joys and challenges of the autumn of life, reminding us that despite reality sometimes taking over, friendship and love have the power to get us back on our feet.
