Christmas Traditional Folklore Night with Dinner, Dance and Wine

Enjoy the authentic Czech folk show with a typical Czech dinner and unlimited consumption of wine, beer, and soft drinks.

A night full of music, a traditional Czech meal, and the best Moravian wine (or Czech beer!) awaits you at the Restaurant U Marčanů this Christmas. 

Folk Music and Show:

Learn about Czech folk music from different parts of the country - at the beginning, you will listen to traditional music performed by 4 musicians, then the „show“ starts:
Bohemian, Moravian, and Slovak folk songs
folk dances, gipsy songs, and gipsy dance

This part of the evening takes about 1 hour. You have an opportunity to see typical folk-instruments, such as the hammer-dulcimer, the fujara (whistle), and the bagpipe.

International Music:

After a short break, get involved! Do you have any special song wishes? Don't be shy! The musicians will play songs according to your request, and you are welcome to sing and dance as much as you like.

Classical music:

At the very end, listen to famous compositions of classical music, which were inspired by folk music (Smetana, Dvořák, Brahms, Sarasate, Mozart, Monti, etc.). 

Christmas themes, carols:

Since it's Christmas time, the evening is enriched with carols

Dinner menu:

Soup: Fine pea cream with herbal croutons
Main Course: Turkey breast, rolled meat with a special Christmas almond filling, creamy baked potatoes, and variations of warm vegetables
Dessert: Round small pancakes with blueberries and whipped cream

Drinks menu:

Aperitif: Becherovka
Unlimited beer, wine, and soft drinks
Coffee or tea

This is a truly unforgettable experience, and we are more than happy to recommend it to everyone. We were very impressed with the whole program from start to finish: such a friendly staff, lovely venue, divine food and wine, fantastic service, musicians and dancers, genuine feeling of fun. You can see the whole event is organized with love, thought, and enthusiasm.

  From the restaurant: walk downwards from the restaurant (Veleslavínská street) and take Metro A (green line) - Nádraží Veleslavín station
