The mysterious Gothic St. Peter Church is located on the border of Prague 1
Originally Romanesque Church of St. Peter was built in the second half of the 12th century as a shrine of the original settlement of German merchants called Poříčí. During the 14th and 15th centuries the church was rebuilt in Gothic style. The free-standing bell tower was built in 1508. The church occasionally hosts concerts of sacred music.
