The building of the New Stage of National Theatre, built in 1983, was tailored to the specific requirements of Laterna magika performances. The unconventional edifice, covered by over four thousand pieces of glass tiles, was designed by Karel Prager. The diversely shaped glass tiles, created by Stanislav Libensky, form a distinctive relief which gives the New Stage its characteristic appearance. This unique use of glass makes the whole building an original sculptural work of art.
Theatre is a cultural institution. Respect the common principles of appropriate behaviour and clothing.
