The second oldest district of Prague with the most famous Baroque churches & gardens

Flood roofs which can be seen from the Prague Castle, Baroque gardens, the iconic St. Nicholas Church and Church of Our Lady Victorious where you can admire the Infant Jesus of Prague... that and much more can be experienced in the city within a city - Lesser Town.

Part where the famous Czech writers lived (Jan Neruda, Egon Bondy etc.), where fine bars and jazz clubs are located and where the famous Czech composer Bohuslav Martinů stayed. It´s less hectic than the Old Town and New Town areas thus we recommend exploring this part also during evening when you can really feel the enchanting atmosphere...

Lesser Town has become home to the government and offices, embassies and foreign diplomats. The Royal Route also runs through Lesser Town; from Old Town it passes over Charles Bridge onto Mostecká Street on Lesser Town Square and through Nerudova Street steeply rises to Prague Castle.

We highly recommend visiting the poetic Devil´s Channel (Čertovka) located on Kampa Island.
