The Church of St. John of Nepomuk is an extremely valuable piece of Baroque architecture

The project was developed by F. M. Kaňka in the years 1734-1754 and the famous K. I. Dientzenhofer participated in the final form. The interior decoration is the work of the leading artists of their time, of whom J. Riedelmayer and F. X. Palko are the authors of the main ceiling painting with the legend of St. John of Nepomuk.

In 1951, the liturgical function of the church was suddenly terminated and the church administration had to rent the church to the city free of charge. The church then served as a civil defense warehouse, a fire station and for storing construction waste. Parts of the equipment that could not be relocated were then vandalized and partially stolen. The demanding reconstruction of the church took place from 1980. The interior was newly restored in 1997 - 2000.
