Music for wind instuments is presented in tonight's concert. Listen to Trojan, Berio or Farkas's compositions.

The repertoire for this combination of instruments is somewhat limited, but it is possible to find inspiration in folk music in it as well. This is evidenced by Václav Trojan’s Wind Quintet, Op. 8, which mentions “Folk Songs” in its subtitle

Program:

  • Ferenc Farkas | Early Hungarian Dances from the 17th Century
  • Darius Milhaud | La cheminée du roi René, Op. 205
  • Václav Trojan | Wind Quintet on Folk Songs, Op. 8
  • Luciano Berio | Opus Number ZOO

Performing:

PRAGUE PHILHARMONIA WIND QUINTET
Jan Brabec - clarinet
Jiří Ševčík - flute
Vladislav Borovka - oboe
Václav Fürbach - bassoon
Mikuláš Koska - French horn
