About the historic hall in Mánes:
Immerse yourself and go back to the 1930s while visiting this historic place full of art and jazz. The building itself is built in the functionalist architecture style and the its complex also includes a famous Manes Gallery and restaurant.
The hall where the jazz dinner is performed has wonderful views over the Vltava River, Petrin Hill, Prague Castle or the neo-Renaissance Žofín Palace, located on the romantic Slovanský island, same as Mánes. The ceiling of the hall is decorated by cubist frescoes by the distinguished Czech Cubist painter Emil Filla.
Our experience:
The combination of the beautiful functionalist cafe Art Restaurant Mánes and swing is simply perfect. You walk in and suddenly fall back in time to the 30s... The atmosphere is unreal! We appreciated the delicious dinner, top quality wines, the adorable swing shuffle dance and stylish costumes of the singers, a very friendly staff and the excellent selection of swing songs.
We had a wonderful swing evening that we will cherish for a long time and we are very happy to recommend the event.
