Église Notre-Dame du Tyn - Place de la Vieille ville de Prague - concerts

Historical landmark building in the Old City Center, beautiful setting but the additional folding chairs were less comfortable.

Given that the tickets were the same price as a ticket to the Opera, surely they could have put out some heaters. Even the performers were putting on coats. It was SO cold and detracted from the overall enjoyment of a superb convcert.

Tyn Church is a wonderful historic venue, perfect for the Christmas Concert, where the reverbarations carry and the organ sounds winderful. Not everyone can be at the front and to do so the tickets cost more, similar to theatrical plays in theatres, but with a conccert the sounds carry well so it is less important. We were foruntate to be able to see the musicians more and that added to the pleasure of the evening.

Majestic church!

The organ sounds great and fills the entire volume of the church. The string ensemble up front was at times hard to hear further back, so maybe we could cluster seats closer around the stage? I noticed the hallways to the sides were not used. FOR THE LOVE OF GOD please remodel the church benches, they are pure torture to sit on. They may be great to give a 16th century parish a vivid impression of suffering in purgatory, but woefully inadequate for a 70 min concert experience. luckily I came early enough to escape to one of the chairs in the center aisle. Others were not so fortunate, and I saw them shift around, grimace and squirm throughout the concert, so I don't think it was just me...

Beautiful & historic Tyn church made the concert extra special. Helpful staff assisted with early seating. Acoustics were surprisingly good; you could hear each instrument clearly.

A lovely outstanding church and well worth a visit at any time.

What can one say? It is an absolutely beautiful church. It should be noted however that the acoustics of such a venue do have a muddling, or merging affect on various types of music, and are thus better for some ensembles than others (choral benefits, with or without orchestral accompaniment; pure strings not so much).

The church is so beautiful and the acoustic is very good.

We could hear every note from every instrument, and of course the church is gorgeous!

I love to come to Europe and listen to classical music in churches. It's one of my favorite things to do and I was not disappointed in this performance! In fact, I would have to say it was The top classical concert in a church that I've ever attended!! The music was beautifully performed and the acoustics in the church or unparalleled. You felt like you were in the music. I wish I could go again tonight!!

What a fantastic concert! The location and orchestra were second to none. I would 100% recommend this concert - price was amazing - a must see experience when visiting Prague. VIP seats were great second row heard and saw it all.

Wonderful acoustics and beautiful setting

The Baroque organ was beautifully played, and the Church was the perfect setting for the music and a Christmas celebration. A perfect evening in an iconic Prague venue.
