Czech Ensemble Baroque will close this year's festival with Bach's extraordinary and spiritual Mass in B minor

The Mass in B minor is a tapestry of several works composed between 1724 and 1749. The mass has not been performed in one piece neither while Bach was alive nor long after his death.

Bach, known for his universal scientific education, encoded numerical symbols into the score, which transcends the composition into a third, ultra spiritual dimension.

Czech Ensemble Baroque:

(orchestra, choir, soloists)
Professional ensemble founded in 1998. The ensemble performs a repertoire consisting of orchestral, choral and operatic works from the Baroque and Classical eras, using instruments and performance techniques that reflect the period in which the works were composed.

About Bach for All festival:

In 2019, the Bach for All festival is celebrating its 3rd anniversary. This time, the main theme of the festival is  “Bach, the nobles, aristocracy and the king”. The idea of Bach for All this year is to present the crucial cornerstones of Bach’s music. The festival aims to expose Bach’s work in its wholeness while focusing on the well-known pieces as well as the more obscure opuses.
