Chamber music concert performed by renowned Czech musicians in the Smetana Museum by the Charles Bridge

Sublime soprano Michaela Šrůmová and engaging string quintet perform an imposing selection of the world famous opera arias from Mozart, Dvořák, Bizet and Smetana together with  instrumental poems from Händel, Smetana and Gershwin.

While sitting by the Vltava River, enjoy the carefully chosen list of compositions inspired by summer and water.

Smetana Ensemble:

Founded by leading members of the world-renowned Prague symphonics, the Smetana Ensemble consists of a string quintet and soloist soprano.

Soprano:

Michaela Šrůmová

Michaela has performed in concerts halls in Europe as well as multiple locations around the world. A regular guest soloist with the Prague Symphony Orchestra and a former member of the Czech National Theatre.

She has performed in many operas including Don Giovanni and Indomeneo by Mozart; Il Mondo della Luna by Haydn; King Arthur by Henry Purcell; Motezuma by Mysliveček and Rusalka by Dvořák.

She regularly collaborates and sings with the Film Symphony Orchestra at the renowned international Barrandov film studios and has worked on many domestic and foreign film productions.

  • After the musical program at about 6:30 pm there is a possibility to visit the permanent exhibition of the museum.
  • Admission fee included within the concert price.
