Collegium 1704 will be joined by the rising star of international stages, the young German soprano Mirella Hagen

Antonio Vivaldi is one of the composers whose work is substantially represented in the archives of Dresden, one of the most vibrant music cen­tres of eighteenth-century Europe. His relation­ship with the Dresden Orchestra was shaped primarily by his pupil and later concertmaster at the court of the Saxon Electors, Johann Georg Pisendel. The brilliant instrumental program will be enriched by Vivaldi‘s Laudate pueri RV 601 with wind instruments, performed by the excel­lent young German soprano Mirella Hagen

Collegium 1704

Collegium 1704 is a Prague-based highly acclaimed Baroque orchestra established in 2005 by the conductor and harpsichordist Václav Luks. The orchestra & vocal ensemble present famous orchestral and choral works by well-known composers as well as long-forgotten and now rediscovered treasures of the Baroque repertoire. The ensemble has been successfuly promoting work of Czech masters like Jan Dismas Zelenka and Josef Mysliveček.
