Three formations on the stage of Jazz Dock perform modern jazz, urban fusion or jazz and soul

Lash & Grey have quickly become recognized as some of the most exceptional rising stars on the Slovak music scene. With their unique and captivating fusion of jazz and soul, Lash&Grey are forging their own path in the international music scene. Their passion and talent have taken them far in a short amount of time, and it is clear that their journey is only just beginning. In November 2022, Lash&Grey had the honor of performing at Carnegie Hall in New York with Keyon Harrold, Harish Raghavan, and Martin Valihora. Additionally, Kristin Lash became a finalist in the prestigious Sarah Vaughan Jazz Vocal Competition 2022, held in New Jersey.

S.V.A. Trio is a formation of three renowned musicians with multi-genre experience from Prague. It has started playing in March 2020 – a time when all public music events were stopped by the pandemic. This time of uncertainty and emptiness accelerated the completion of new projects such as S.V.A. Trio which decided to focus on their own music. Music which would reflect their common musical influences and become a reaction to living in a metropolis. They call this style “urban fusion.” S.V.A. Trio features Alexey Aslamas (violin), Vladan Malinjak (viola) and Šimon Marek (cello).

Robert Balzar first took up the acoustic bass at the age of eleven. He would later study classical bass at the Brno Conservatory. In 1985, Robert began his career in Prague as a studio musician (TV Big Band) along with working as a jazz musician. In 1996, Robert first stepped out under his own name, forming the Robert Balzar Trio. Over the years, Robert has performed with John Abercrombie, Joe Newman, Benny Bailey, Tony Scott, Benny Golson or Wynton Marsalis. In addition to fronting the jazz trio bearing his name, Robert Balzar keeps busy with a number of additional projects.

Jazz Dock´s long futuristic bar is full of traditional and proven drinks and cocktails as well as specialities and news for anyone with fantasy. You can enjoy also Jazz Dock kitchen´s delicatessen and treat yourself a tasty dinner, all the time during musical production.

  • The concert has one 20 minutes long intermission. 
  • The drinks and food are not included in the ticket price.  
  • The seats will be allocated to you by the promoter after the entry to the club. 
  • We recommend to arrive at least 30 min in advance.
