Rising star of the Polish jazz scene and the best Polish bass player of the new generation

Kinga Głyk began her adventure with music at the age of 12, playing in a family band called Głyk P.I.K. TRIO. Despite her young age, she has already played numerous concerts not only in Poland but also in countries such as Indonesia, Austria, Germany, Switzerland, Italy, Portugal, Slovakia, the Czech Republic, and Ukraine. In March 2015, she released her debut album, Rejestracja. The CD has received positive reviews from Trójka – Polskie Radio and magazines like Jazz Forum and Twój Blues. In an annual survey called JAZZ TOP and BLUES TOP, she was nominated in the following categories: NEW HOPE, BASS GUITAR, and DISCOVERY OF THE YEAR.

In February 2016, Kinga live-recorded her second authorial album, Happy Birthday. In June 2016, a video of Kinga performing Eric Clapton’s “Tears in Heaven” was posted by BASS PLAYER UNITED on Facebook, reaching 10 million views. In her career so far, Kinga has performed with: Tim Garland, Nitai Hershkovits, Greg Hutchinson, Jnr Robinson, Bernard Maseli, Ruth Waldron, Natalia Niemen, Apostolis Anthimos, Leszek Winder, Paweł Tomaszewski, Grzegorz Kapołka, Joachim Mencel, Arek Skolik, Mateusz Otremba (Mate.O), Marek Dykta and Piotr Wyleżoł.

In October 2017, Kinga released the studio album Dream. The album features performances from some of the world’s most famous musicians, such as Greg Hutchinson (drums), Tim Garland (saxophone), and Nitai Hershkovits (grand piano). The album was released on Warner Music. Kinga Głyk is about to release her fifth album titled "Real Life". The album was co-produced by founder of Snarky Puppy Michael League and features an impressive lineup of musicians, including Robert "Sput" Searight, Casey Benjamin, Brett Williams, Nicholas Semrad, Julian Pollack, Celeb Sean McCambell, and Grégoire Maret. Notably, the album will be launched by the renowned music publishing company Warner Music Group.

Jazz Dock´s ten meters long futuristic bar is full of traditional and proven drinks and cocktails as well as specialities and news for anyone with fantasy. You can enjoy also Jazz Dock kitchen´s delicatessen and treat yourself a tasty dinner, all the time during musical production.

This extraordinary Prague´s jazz club is situated in the beautiful and romantic environment of old Prague, in the immediate vicinity of conservation area of Malá Strana and Kampa Island. Jazz Dock is surrounded by the unique 19th century buildings athmosphere, near Prague city center, very close to the National Theatre. Thanks to its unique location directly on the bank of the Vltava river it offers unforgettable views of Prague centre.

The high level of acoustic set up in this Prague jazz club allows live jazz music gigs until the morning hours! Often during a one single evening several jazz bands together as well as guest musicians will change on jazz club stage.

Jazz Dock has its own music concept. It´s dramaturgy is specific for its several-days concert blocks of significant Czech jazz bands and foreign bands and regular jazz festivals focused on a particular jazz genre, specific country or dominant jazz instrument.

Jazz concerts in Jazz Dock are complemented by afternoon´s pleasant seating and refreshments during the day, and in the summer also in the beautiful surroundings of the outdoor café and on the roof of the club.
