Get up early, come to the Municipal House and experience a mesmerising piece of classical music.

In our country and around the world, Stabat mater receives a similar response as the great works of the masters Handel, Haydn or Beethoven. It is a work that every music lover should hear live at least once. In addition to colorful instrumentation, spectacular voice work and a religious story, it still offers immense depth today. As if the Virgin Mary was not only grieving for her son, but also for Dvořák's three children, whom he lost in short succession at the time of writing this work. And it was this life experience that elevated Dvořák's treatment of the Stabat mater above all the treatments before and after it, similar to Mozart's Requiem.
