The ensemble’s origins date back to the mid-1990s, to a time when all its members were studying at Prague’s AMU. Back then Jindřich Pavliš, Vojtěch Nýdl, Luděk Boura and Petr "Pepíno" Valášek spent most of their time interpreting classical music and jazz.
Yet it didn’t take Clarinet Factory long to widen their lens to experiment with the full spectrum of genres, including arranging as well as composing, born out of a desire to communicate and share music with people of all ages and musical tastes.
Over the course of their career to date, they have collaborated with Bobby McFerrin, Jana Koubková, Brno Philharmonic, PKF - Prague Philharmonia, the Czech Radio Symphony Orchestra, Radka Fišarová, Iva Bittová, Lenka Dusilová, Beata Hlavenková, Tata Bojs, Floex and Joe Acheson from Hidden Orchestra. Accolades include writing the music for the films Hidden Things and Murderous Tales, not to mention winning the prestigious International Song-writing Competition in Nashville, USA.
The ensemble has also garnered success at international festivals as well as on numerous international concert tours (Belgium, Bulgaria, Lithuania, Luxembourg, Germany, the Netherlands, Poland, Portugal, Slovakia, Slovenia, Senegal, Spain).
