Smetana Hall concert: brilliant Czech cellist Michal Kaňka is joined by Prague Symphony Orchestra

If the next Prague Symphony Orchestra Chief Conductor Tomáš Brauner grew up listening to some composers, they are Joseph Haydn, Antonín Dvořák and Bohuslav Martinů. Haydn and Dvořák also inspired Martinů, whose anniversary we celebrate in 2019.

Program:

  • Joseph Haydn
Symphony No. 30 in C major
  • Bohulav Martinů
    Cello Concerto No. 1
  • Antonín Dvořák
Symphony No. 8 in G major Op. 88

Soloist:

Michal Kaňka - cello

Conductor:

Tomáš Brauner
