We invite you to the seventh year of the Musica Orbis concert series. The first concert will be opened by a performance of the Doshisha University Orchestra. This Japanese orchestra established in 1925 will present a rich program of well-known pieces and one modern piece by Ikuma Dan all conducted by Hikaru Ebihara.

Musica Orbis Musica Orbis is an annual concert series that presents talented musicians from various countries of the world. Music Orbis concerts take place in eminent Prague concert halls, and they are characterised by fresh energy, a joy of music, charismatic conductors, and superb soloists. In 2019 Musica Orbis will enter its seventh year.
The multifunctional Lucerna Palace was built in 1921 by Václav Havel, the ex-president's grandfather. It soon became a cente of social and cultural life in Prague and its premises held many important social events. In Lucerna Palace you will find a large concert hall, cinema, music club, cafe and shops in the passage. Lucerna Palace holds up to its past and carries the legacy of Czech Republic's rich cultural tradition.
The Great Hall is a spacious hall with three balconies hosting concerts of Czech and foreign stars, dance balls and other social and cultural events, ie. Czech film awards (Český lev).
