Dvořák Symphony Orchestra Prague (chamber)
Klementinum Mirror Chapel |
65 minutes |
One of the highest rated chamber classical concerts in Prague at the world famous Klementinum Mirror Chapel will surely delight you.
Prague Ticket Office is your guide through Prague classical concerts.
Listen to the chamber classical music or even jazz music in an opulently decorated ceremonial space. The Mirror Chapel, originally dedicated to the Annunciation of the Virgin Mary, is a unique sanctuary and one of the churches of the former Jesuit college, Prague Klementinum.
The Mirror Chapel was built in 1725 most likely by František Maxmilian Kaňka. The impressive installations of Baroque mirrors on the ceiling make the chapel unparalelled worldwide. Together with gilded stuccos of Bernardo Spinetti, marble panelling and ceiling frescoes by Jan Hiebl, these mirrors create great artistic value of the interior.
The chapel had been repeatedly desecrated and consecrated until it became a Prague classical concert and exhibition hall in 1936. The Mirror Chapel houses two precious Baroque organs and classical concerts held here are a unique and unforgettable experience.
A ne pas rater, moment inoubliable, lieu magnifique.
Great vocalist and troumendous respect to lady who player the old chordes.
Both the music and the chapel were beautiful. A feast for the ears and the eyes!
Lovely venue- Beautiful music- well played.
The symphony was absolutely beautiful. The musicians and the singer were outstanding and put on a memorable show.
Stunning atmosphere, talented musicians, memorable experience! We loved the music, the organ and the venue. This is a must do for Prague visitors!
Violinists were good, but the organist was very noticeably bad.
My friend and I thoroughly enjoyed the performance. The orchestra were wonderful and the choice of pieces
superb. We would definitely cone and see them again.
Very professional musicians, organist and soprano.
A very enjoyable moment, with the discovery of a couple of Czech composers, JJ Benda and Smetana.
Professional musicians in an amazingly beautiful setting. Loved it! Lasted 65 minutes with a good variety of classical pieces.
C était parfait. Le lieu, la musique, la chanteuse..
Un vrai moment de plaisir
Just right. Not too long or too short. The selections were familiar enough for the not-so-musically-inclined, but sophisticated enough for the afficionado. The venue was beautiful. It was a beautiful evening of entertainment.
That was an amazing concert with perfect program. The musicians outperformed our expectation. We were impressed. It was an unforgetable event.
Very good concert
Excellent orchestre et soprano!
Mention spéciale pour le premier violon.
Nous avons passé un merveilleux moment
The venue is absolutely stunning with so many beautiful features to focus on.
We thoroughly enjoyed ourselves at the concert which was simply amazing. We would love to visit again. Thank you.
Overall great experience, the performance was spectacular, sound was good. There were signs that clearly indicated "No Recording" but a few audiences were constantly recording and taking photos, even stood up to take photos, and there was no one enforcing the rules, which spoiled the experience a bit.
We thoroughly enjoyed. The music was perfect and the opera singer was an added bonus.
Very good introduction to the local composers (Dvorak and Smetana) and a varied choice of known and less known pieces. Very good performance.
Think the venue amazing. The standard of the string quartet, singer and organist were amazing too! The only thing I would choose is a slightly less popular mix of music. However I understand if this draws a variety of people in.
Excellent string quartet! Lovely singer.
The event was rather good overall. The musicians and the singer were great, but most of the pieces played during the second third of the concert felt rushed, compared to how I'm used to hear them. Also the opera singer performing at point-blank distance felt very overwhelming.
I would suggest making the programme a bit leaner, to allow for a more relaxed tempo. I also think that keeping the singer more in the back and not pushing the front rows so close would provide a better experience.
musiciens de haute performance, bon choix du répertoire
The event was very entertaining. The performers were excellent.
varied and interesting assortment of short pieces of great music. Beautifully paid by enthusiastic young musicians and soprano.
The musicians were great and played many of the well-known classics. We really enjoyed the event . Highly recommended.
Concert varié, avec chants, orgue et cordes.
We enjoyed the concert. The venue was unique and beautiful. God Value.
The event was beautiful and incredible! One of my favorite parts of Prague, hands down.
This event surpassed our expectations. It was a wonderful concert in Klementinum Chapel in Prague, where Mozart is said to have performed. It was a small ensemble of 4 string instruments, an opera singer, and an organist that played favorites from Vivaldi, Mozart, and others. They were all outstanding. And the history and acoustics of the Klementinum only added to the enjoyment!
Tonight it felt as though I was hearing Vivaldi's Four Seasons, Bach's Toccata and Fugue in d minor and Smetana's Moldau for the first time. Not the best recordings or the most sophisticated sound equipment can reproduce the intimate interplay between brilliant musicians, an incredible space and a riveted audience. The Toccata and Fuga in d minor on the Baroque organ had a rich earthiness, an intense physical quality of stops and keys that a recording simply cannot capture.
A beautiful room. Superb selection of music played and sung sublimely in a space with excellent acoustics. Great value for a unique experience.
The musicians were excellent. It was a nice surprise having the vocalist perfrom.
Price was a little expensive, but otherwise, it was a wonderful venue. Tickets were very easy to obtain.
Wonderful concert and venue - exceeded expectations. Musicians were excellent and music choice very enjoyable.
I've took the chance going there with a group of 8 friends (all in their 20's), some without any particular tastes for classical music, at the 6pm session on a saturday.
The experience was truelly amazing for everybody.
The venue, its acoustic, and both musicians and soprano, were so perfect.
Don't hesitate, well worth the price for the experience.
A écouter et à voir, trés bon rapport qualité prix. A faire impérativement si on a le temps !
I thoroughly enjoyed this performance! The Klementinum Mirror Chapel venue was spectacular (and has wonderful acoustics), and the performers were outstanding as well. I found it to be GREAT value for your money and would highly recommend it! It was also cool day in Prague but the venue was nice and warm which made it even more enjoyable (some of the other venues can be quite cool at this time of year).
What a great musical experience in a beautiful setting. The string quartet were especially good and the lead violinists gave us a brilliant show of her skill, dexterity and feel for the music. The singing was beautiful and the organ (historically played by Mozart himself). A very enjoyable early evening (we chose the 1700 concert), rounded off b6 an excellent dinner nearby
Good selection of music. Well-played and the acoustics were excellent.
This was a great event to attend. The small venue made it very personal and the musicians were absolutely first class. Would recommend to all.
Beautiful music by a very talented chamber orchestra. The solos by the organist and violinist were breathtaking and the young soprano was incredible.
Very beautiful music in a wonderful setting.
Listening to the excellent performance of 3x violionists, 1 cellist, 1 organist and a Soprano at the Klementinum Mirror Chapel made a nice break before dinner. It's been a while since my wife and I went to a classical concert and this made a nice change. Considering the venue and the content, the 25 GBP per head (for "near the front" seats) was certainly good value for money for the 1 hour concert.
The organization was fine, and the concert started promptly.
Very punctual, no problems at all, musicians were fantastic
