Organ wednesday concerts at St. Nicholas church have been for many years one of the best concerts of organ classical music in Prague.
The St. Nicholas church organ has over 4,000 pipes up to six metres in length.

Drahomira Matznerova - organ
Drahomira Matznerova studied Organ by Prof. Hora, Prof. Tuma and Prof. Ropek, she graduated not only at Prague Conservatory and Prague Academy of Music, but she also took part in master classes in Netherland and France. She is the organist of the Church of Infant Jesu of Prague, since 1996 she has been the organist for ceremonies at New Town Hall, too. Romantic organ music of French origin constitutes the focal point of her repertoire. Besides solo playing, she also accompanies various ensembles, with which she has performed such works as Haydn’s The Creation, Händel’s Messiah, Mozart’s Requiem, Dvorak’s Mass in D Major and many other masses and oratorios.
Due to technical issues we are going to perform the concerts on the positive organ under the dome where also the whole music production will take place. Therefore we would like to sincerely invite you to the Concerts under the dome!
For concert visitors is St. Nicholas church open 15 minutes before the concert.
Please note there is no intermission.
