Baroque orchestra and choir Ensemble Inegal performs J. S. BACH´s EARLY CANTATAS.

The genesis of the fascinating set of two hundred extant cantatas by Johann Sebastian Bach goes back to the time when he was only eighteen and starting his first engagement in Arnstadt, Thuringia. None of his cantatas is precisely dated, but their formal characteristics point to the earliest period of his writing. For their enormous spiritual and emotional depth and the mastery of composition they rank among the most beautiful pieces of music ever written. Ensemble Inégal's interpretation of Bach's early cantatas will confirm the composer Max Reger's statement that 'Bach is the beginning and the end of all music'.

Program:

Johann Sebastian Bach: Aus der Tiefen rufe ich, Herr, zu dir BWV 131
Nach dir, Herr, verlanget mich BWV 150
Christ lag in Todes Banden BWV 4
Der Herr denket an uns BWV 196
