Classical music concerts in Prague Klementinum, in the Mirror Chapel
will captivate your imagination by staging chamber music and jazz music in an opulently decorated ceremonial space.
Prague concerts in Klementinum belong to most popular classical music concert events.
The Mirror Chapel originally dedicated to the Annunciation of the Virgin Mary is a unique sanctuary of
Prague Klementinum.
It was built in 1725 by an unknown architect at the order of latin Marian congregation. It is an intimately sized space with impressive installations of Baroque mirrors on the ceiling which make it unparalelled worldwide.
Together with gilded stuccos of Bernard Spinetti, marble panelling and ceiling frescoes by Jan Hiebl they create great artistic value of this interior. The chapel had been repeatedly desecrated and consecrated until it became a prague classical concert and exhibition hall in 1936.
The Mirror Chapel also houses two precious Baroque organs and
prague classical concerts and
prague jazz concerts here are a unique and unforgettable experience.
