The Prague
Talich Chamber Orchestra was formed in 1992 by the violinist Jan Talich Jr., the great-nephew of the legendary Czech conductor Vaclav Talich. The Talich name evokes the strong repute of a tradition of Czech musicians, but more than that it embodies a commitment to great artistic responsibility. Members of the orchestra are graduates of the Academy of Performing Arts in Prague and winners of numerous prizes internationally and at home.
TCO can be compared among the ranks of other top classical music chamber orchestras.
This is thanks to the fact that it has worked with a number of prominent conductors such as Sir Charles Mackerras, Vladimir Valek, or Josef Suk The TCO has received strong acclaim from both Czech and foreign critics and artists.
Please note there is no intermission.
