Prague classical concerts
in St. Nicholas Church became for their high artistic level very popular. Tonight you can enjoy famous compositions of A. Dvorak, M. Ravel, M.- A. Charpentier and A. Vivaldi.

Soloist:

M. Zvolanek - trumpet

Solo trumpeter Marek Zvolanek belongs currently to the best Czech players on this instrument.
Already at the age of eighteen he joined the Czech Philharmonic Orchestra, which was then directed by Vaclav Neumann and very soon became a sought-after soloist for his technical virtuosity and beautiful tone. As a guest Marek performed e.g. at the Basel Symphony Orchestra and the Philharmonic Orchestra of Lisbon and in Germany he was invited to participate in prestigious  "Ten of the best" Ensemble, which consists of the ten best trumpeters the world.
Mark Zvolanek gives concerts worldwide and has released numerous recordings.
He currently works as soloist of Prague Radio Symphony Orchestra.
Mark Zvolanek plays exclusively on the instrument of world-famous Austrian manufacturer "Schagerl Music Instruments".

Please note there is no intermission.

St. Nicholas church on Old Town square in Prague is breathtaking baroque temple in the absolute heart of Prague.

St. Nicholas church on Old Town Square in Prague is well known for its excellent acoustics. 

This monumental baroque church of St. Nicholas in Prague, at the corner of Old Town Square is a masterpiece created by a genius of his time Kilian Ignac Dienzenhofer. First owned by the Catholic Church, later by the Orthodox Church the edifice now now belongs to the Czechoslovak Hussite Church founded here in 1920.

The house directly adjacent to the church is a birthplace of Franz Kafka.

Classical music concerts in St. Nicholas church are among the most favourite ones.

The original design of ceiling and frescoes is a masterful example of the baroque sense of the effect and classical music concerts are held here almost daily. 

An indisputable advantage is the fact that after the evening concert you get directly to night Old Town Square and it is really unforgetable sight! Night lighted Church of Our Lady before Tyn is beautiful!

Opening hours: Monday - Saturday from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m., Sunday from 12 a.m. to 4 p.m.

Entrance to the temple area is free.

Religious services are held every Sunday at 10 a.m.

Walking distance from Prague Ticket Office - Via Musica shop on Old Town Square: l
ess than 3 minutes, it is just the other side of Old town square.
